Are your items officially licensed?

All of our items are officially licensed and sourced through official channels. If you have any questions of the authenticity of our items, please feel free to contact us!

Do you buy used figures?

Sorry, we do not buy used figures. We buy from manufacturers and distributors only.

Do I have to sign up for an account to order?

You do not have to create an account profile to order. To order anonymously:

  1. Choose "Click here to register" when checking out.
  2. Fill out your billing and shipping information but do not fill out the name and password prompts at the bottom of the form.
  3. Continue checkout out as usual.

If you're planning to make multiple Pre Orders or Shipping Soon Orders, we recommend signing up for an account. Due to the long wait times on these items, it may be more convenient to be able to sign in to view all your processing orders. 

If you have made orders anonymously and want to create an account, or if you have a mixture of anonymous orders and orders linked to an account, we can help you get organized. Please email us at info@animestuffstore.com.


How do I see shipping fees?

Shipping is based on location. To see shipping fees, go into your cart and click "Go to Checkout". You can enter your information to see your shipping choices (there is another screen for payment so you won't commit to buy yet). 


What shipping methods do you use? 

We use USPS to ship most packages. For some orders, we may switch to UPS for better service. Please let us know if you have any additional shipping instructions for your order.


How does curbside pickup work?

If you would like to pick up your order from our store, please select the curbside shipping option. When your order is ready to pick up, you will recieve an email confirming that's ready. Please note that if you come to the store before the email is sent, you may need to wait while the order is prepared. 

If you want to pay in cash, you don't need to submit an order through the website. Please email us or call the store at 815-782-5774. We can hold any item for 24 hours behind the counter. Longer holds will be approved on a case by case basis. 


Paypal is giving me an error. What should I do?

If Paypal express checkout is not working, try logging out and logging back in and ordering again. This should fix the problem. If it still isn't working, please email us and we will send you a manual invoice through Paypal to pay with.


What is the difference between Pre Order and Shipping Soon?

Pre Order items are items not currently available to ship. They are either in pre-production, currently in production, or shipping from Japan to the US. The wait times for these items may be very long - please note the estimates in the item description.

Items marked Shipping Soon are Pre Order items currently in the US and in transit to our warehouse. They are also not currently available to ship. Once the item changes to Shipping Soon, the price will increase and the lower Pre Order price will no longer be available. The wait time is shorter but may still be subject to shipping delays -- please note the estimated time in the item description. 

When a Shipping Soon item arrives in the warehouse, it becomes regular stock and the Shipping Soon discount will no longer apply.


When will my Pre Order/Shipping Soon order ship?

Please refer to the item description for the most updated estimate. The estimated times are subject to change at any time and are refreshed frequently based on the updates we recieve from our suppliers. When the estimated time says something like, "Ships after June 2023", it means the item is expected to be available any time during June or after June 30, 2023. It does not mean the item will ship on June 1, 2023. 

If you're following the Japan release date for an item, please note that this date does not reflect our availability. It may take many months after the Japan date for the item to arrive at our warehouse. Due to the current shipping delays, all items are expected to be minimum 1-3 months delayed and may be delayed up to 8 months.

When your item arrives, we will email you to let you know that the order is ready to ship. If more than a month has passed since you placed the order, we will confirm your shipping address to ensure proper delivery.


Something I have on PreOrder is now available on the website/in the Plainfield store. Where's my PreOrder? 

PreOrders and Shipping Soon orders are processed Monday-Wednesday. We try to process the orders within a week of the stock arriving, but it's not always possible depending on the number of PreOrders associated with a particular shipment.  


My Pre Order has multiple items. When do they ship?

Updated policy for all orders placed after 10/1/2021: The items in your order will ship as they become available. If you have in stock items, those items will ship immediately. For PreOrder items, we will ship them as they arrive. The shipping price charged at checkout reflects this new policy. If you would like other shipping arrangements, please write to us before placing an order. 

Old Policy applying to all orders placed before 10/1/2021: Our policy is to ship all items in the same order at one time. If you have a mixture of In Stock items and Pre Order items, the In Stock items will be held until the Pre Order item is ready to ship. If you have multiple Pre Order items, we hold the entire order until everything is ready. 

If you would like part of your order shipped early, please let us know and we will calculate the shipping. We are not offering free shipping at this time. 

Our recommendation is to make separate orders for In Stock items and Pre Order items if you want items shipped as they become available. 


Can I get a refund on my Pre Order/Shipping Soon Order?

All Pre Orders and Shipping Soon Orders are final and non-refundable. Please note that all estimated delivery times are just estimates - there can be significant delays due to production delays or shipping delays. If you don't want to wait too long between payment and shipment, then it's best to purchase the figure when they arrive and are ready to ship. 

If there is a production problem and your order cannot be filled, we will notify you and offer a refund.


Do you offer gift cards? How do they work?

Yes, we do offer gift cards. Please use the link in the top menu. Your gift card code will be emailed to the email address you provide. To redeem a gift certificate, use the button on the side underneath "Place Order". Please see the Terms and Conditions for more Gift Card information.

In-store customers can purchase gift cards in person. Because the website and the store are on different systems, website gift certificates cannot be redeemed in person, and store gift cards cannot be used on the website.
